YSF in collaboration with Prakriti embark on a journey to support child education

Yuvraj Singh Foundation which has been making its presence felt lately through various events and social causes etc. has now started supporting its first of schools. The school which is situated in Suratnagar area in Gurgaon is functioning here with children from lower sections of society for around 3 years. However for lack of funds and resources the school was unable to reach out to more children, and was able to provide only bare minimum facilities to children.

Now with the support of Yuvraj Singh Foundation, the NGO Prakriti which has been operational in Gurgaon for 3 years now working mostly in the areas of environment awareness and child education, is going to take care of the school directly and make sure the progress of the children isn't hindered by lack of resources.

Prakriti General Manager Ashwini Pratap, is excited about being working with YSF, he says "It's a great opportunity for us to have a partner like YSF. Together we can reach much farther than Prakriti was able to do so far. We hope this would be a fruitful partnership and lead to more such positive endeavors."

The collaboration also plans to start another school next month. This is one of the poorest slums in Gurgaon mostly inhabited by families of rag pickers. There are around 400 children living here with no access to education. Amit Yadav, managing director of YSF says "This project is a dream for me which with the help of Prakriti is about to be realized very soon. The children there can't ask for anything more than good education, which is the only way for them to hope to get out of the cruel cycle of chronic  poverty. We are really happy to be involved in making these projects come alive.".

ODIs against England, Yuvi will be Missed by All

As Indian Team is going face England in the ODI series from today, Indian Captain and Skipper MS Dhoni expressed concern over the fifth-bowler option and said, he is missing Yuvraj Singh , who could have done the job well like in the World Cup earlier this year.
As we all know, Yuvi played match winning innings during ICC World Cup 2011 and was the Man of The Tournament also! When it's a matter about Matches against England, the First Things that comes into our mind is "The Six Sixes hit by Yuvraj in an over by Stuart Broad.

In a recent interview in a show hosted by Simi Grewal "India's Most Desirable" , Yuvi mentioned that his favourite wicket that he wants to take as a Bowler is of Kevin Pietersen, who calls Yuvraj as "Pie Chucker".

As I am a big of him, I wish him a speedy recovery from finger injury . Waiting to see hom back in the Action!! :) :)

Get well soon Yuvi! :)

Yuvraj Singh who was born in a Punjabi Family always has his Parents as his inspirations. Mom who's his biggest fan and biggest pillar of strength and support and Dad, as a Coach has always been the driving force of his career.Yuvi's mother had always believed that he was made for Special things and her confidence became his strength.
Vikram Rathore, Indian ex-skipper and former Indian opener also believed that Yuvi had the talent to play for India. He also believes that DADA (Sourav Ganguly), Sachin Pa , VVS Laxman Sir, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble has been a great learning curve for him.

Cricket is in his blood :

Yuvi went to Mumbai for his cricket training where he used to travel to the cricket academy in a local train. Yuvi learned a lot from Bishan Singh bedi's cricket academy. When he was 15 , he got training form Vengsarkar Academy. The credit for Yuvi being such a great cricketer goes to his dad. His dad told him to concentrate on cricket, not skating! At the time when India became the T20 Champion, Yuvi realised that the Indian Team is somewhere responsible for the emotions of over a billion people. Yuvi struggled with Injuries from 2009 onwards. After eight years of playing international cricket, he got dropped for the first time. That time was so tough for him that he even thought of quitting but hopefully he didn't as he loved the game too much. And then he made a Thundering Come Back in 2011 and so we all call him the "Match Winner" coz of his Fabulous Performance in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011! The dream of Whole of India came true after 28 years! Thanks to all of them!! :) :) :) :)
